My
daughter Gypsy is a great companion, has the most pleasant
personality, and is the quietest canine I have ever known. If she
barks once a month it's a lot. I named her after one of the most
interesting personalities of the 20th Century - Gypsy Rose Lee. She
has done the name proud! Anyone who has ever met her agrees that she
is one of the best canines that they have ever met. She also has a
secret identity. That's right, It's not a bird, it's not a plane,
IT'S SUPER BEAGLE!!! Yes Super Beagle. The justice fighter not just
for humankind, but for all creatures!!! As her mom, some may think I
am being a bit partial, but Gypsy is the best child in this or any
other universe!!!!! Sadly, Gypsy was called back to heaven on
8/11/1998. She is now not just Super Beagle, she is Super Angel
Beagle!!!!!
Besides dressing up, she enjoyed visiting people, going up to her
country home, baking and especially eating. I know you are wondering
how a dog could bake. Every Christmas, during our traditional cookie
bake, Gypsy would help make thumb print cookies. Of course in her
case, they were paw print. She would then give them out to her
relatives, both human and canine.
Though at times during her walk, she would pick up a scent and start
tracking it, she was very gentle and never hurt another creature.
Once there was a mouse in our house and she ignored it. She said it
was because all creatures have a right to live.
Gypsy rarely barked, but she had a way of letting you know what she
wanted without ever uttering a sound. Everyone who ever met Gypsy
though she was a fantastic dog. She touched everyone. When she
passed away, even the technicians in her vet's office were in tears.
Gypsy is one of a kind. I'm sure even now she is brightening up the
universe.
