This
is Freckles. She is a seven-month-old Terrier mix. She lives in
Yuba City California with her owner, Pom Pom The Clown. Freckles is
learning to do the party circuit to entertain kids at birthdays and
festivals and other special events. She has already been well
received at a care home for the elderly, the California Prune
Festival, a Labor Day Parade, a kindergarten class and a cub scout
meeting.
Freckles will help to educate kids about having and caring for a pet
in the family. She does this with a number of special tricks. She
will fall down dead to the question what happens when pets don't get
their shots? And she will go to a "refrigerator" and
retrieve her own sandwich, and bottle of mustard, when the kids are
reminded that, "Your pet can't go to the refrigerator and get their
own sandwich." She also shoots basketball and slides down a slide.
