What
makes him special? Many things... like his "staring" eyes, when
he first jumps up on the bed in the morning. If you make eye contact
with him, he will push up to be near your face, so I keep my eyes
closed and wait him out until he decides I am still asleep. Then
he'll lie down next to me and sleep. But one of the things that makes
me love him most is his empathetic nature. He knows when you are
hurting and makes every effort to make you feel better by licking and
being exceptionally affectionate. His eyes show that he knows you are
hurting. He is completely obedient, wants to be with you every moment
and will lie by your feet wherever you are. He follows me around the
house and stands waiting outside a door if I am inside a room. He has
the best expressions, turns his head from side to side while looking
at you and really makes eye contact. He is almost human in his
responses. He gives so much love and it's so unconditional. He is
also an expert frisbee catcher. Everyone that has ever met him has
fallen in love with him, from the Vet who cares for his health to the
groomers who clean and trim him. He loves to sleep on the bed in the
morning with us... and will jump up and stare at us until we wake
up... and then he smiles and all is well as he lies down beside us.
