I
think my lab Chelsea is Dog of the Day every day! Even though we
have four dogs and we love them all, Chelsea has an unusual
personality. A great mother, excellent pillow and perfect travel
buddy, she's queen of the pack and knows it! This picture is of
Chelsea with some of her kids just after they were born! Chelsea's a
character with a personality that's almost human!
She loves riding in the car, is a great traveling companion, and a
bed hog! She also loves to sit in front of the pantry and wait for
you to look at her so that she can nod her head at the door (it's
where the biscuits are kept!) Chelsea has a built in clock for meals.
At precisely 5 pm each afternoon she begins her dinner dance and
doesn't stop until fed. Since we have other dogs as well she's a
real instigator, informing all the others with her antics that it's
dinner time!!!!
Chelsea's my first lab...and my first love affair with the breed! I
don't know what we'd do without her! Chelsea is a joy and we're very
proud of her and her pups. We recently received word that one we had
donated to Canine Companions had graduated into formal training as an
assist dog. This was my dream come true! Chelsea is the hostess for
our labrador website called
the Lab-Habitat.
