This
picture was taken when Kaelum was six months old. She is now seven and
the joy of my life! A day never goes by when I'm not thankful for all
the love and attention that she pays to me. When I have to leave in
the morning to go to work, I always give her a kiss on the head and
ask her if there is anything special she would like me to bring her
home after work. She just stands there and wags her tail!
There are sooo many reasons that make Kaelum special - it's hard to
put them all down! She has quite a lively personality and such
intelligent eyes that she can let me know what she wants just by the
way she looks at me. Of course most of the time this requires me to
sit and snuggle with her on my lap on the couch - who could resist
such a face?
She is both independent and affectionate - sometimes wanting to do her
own thing or sometimes wanting my undivided attention. Her favorite
game is playing catch. We have set up a room in the basement just for
her to play in! Because the winters can get to be too cold for her to
play outside, we just go downstairs and throw the ball around down
there. She will play for hours.
