This
is Tess. She is a three-year-old black Labrador Retriever, and
she lives in Scotland. Tess comes from a long line of champion gun
dogs, but she is not a trained gun dog, she is a much loved family
pet.
Tess is a clever little dog, who knows exactly how to manipulate
her human "parents" and keep them constantly on their toes, catering
to her every whim. Whatever they are doing, they will jump up to let
her out, or in, and when she appears with her ball in her mouth, they
kow that now they must (despite their fairly advanced age) run around
the lawn, playing Tess' favorite ball game. That game is called "I
(Tess) grab the ball and run and you catch me if you can, but I'll
never let you have the ball!"
Tess will sometimes eat greedily, but sometimes not at all, making her
"mom" frantic with worry, so she will offer her one delicacy after the
other. Tess knows to wait, as there might be something even better
coming. But Tess is also a very lovable, and playful companion, and
