This
is my dog Jackie. Jackie is short for Lady Jackelon, and she really
acts like a lady. She eats her food on an oriental carpet and sleeps in
a bean bag. In this picture she is all wet and standing on a deck. This
is up north when we taught her how to swim. Before she even gets into
the water she will start moving her legs back and forth like swimming in
the air. She is such a character!
Jackie is eleven years old but acts like she is still a puppy. She plays
with lots of squeaky stuffed animals including an octopus. She also
loves playing with a very old squeaky hedgehog, it keeps her in practise
for chasing little rodents around the yard.
Even though Westies are very small dogs they act like they are three times
their size. Jackie is no exception. Her friend Marsha is a golden
retriever and they get along fine, size makes no difference.
Westies are like wolves, as in they love to be in a pack. My mom would
probably be the head of the pack because she obeys her every word. Even
though I am thirteen Jackie treats me a little like a puppy being that she
grew up with me. My dad and brother would be others in the pack.
Jackie is a great pet. She is such a character making her very
entertaining and fun to play with. My friend that is scared of dogs no
longer is after meeting Jackie. Westies are great pets and I would
recommend them to anyone buying a family dog.
