Bruno
adopted us about two years ago. He was abandoned by college
students who thought it would be great fun to get a puppy. They went
home for the summer and left him in the back yard. Bruno found his way
to the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue league and that is how we
eventually met. He is the biggest baby and the absolute love of our
life! We still can't believe he was abandoned. This holiday picture was
taken after doggie day care... I couldn't believe he wore the hat long
enough to shoot this!
Bruno is affectionate, loving, and would argue if you suggested he was
not human. He is also easily scared. I actually watched him bark at my
purse because I put it in a different spot one day. He loves to move
you aside when brushing your teeth so that he can have a drink of water.
He thinks the faucets automatically turn on when he approaches the
bathroom sink. He loves roman tomatoes and will swipe them whenever he
gets a chance whether from the kitchen table or from the garden. If you
try to catch him he will look at you innocently, mouth shut, and deny
any wrongdoing. It is only when you lift up his lip and actually
witness the roma tomato in his mouth does he admit guilt.
I never get tired of talking (bragging) about him.
