Our
dog's name is Elizabeth Carmella Baldwin (a.k.a. Lizy). She is a
teacup Chihuahua - she weighs 2.1 pounds full grown! At only one year
old, we believe that Lizy is the smartest dog in the world. She
understands most of what we say to her. Not to mention she is the
cuddliest! Lizy has a very unique little personality. She recognizes a
lot of what we say, so we have to speak in code when we want to say
things like food, outside, Grandma, go, car, bye-bye, and especially
treat! She also knows exactly who Mommy and Daddy are.
She usually gets along well with her brother, Taylor (standard
Chihuahua), but if there is a toy involved that they both want to play
with, they have what we refer to as a "Mexican Standoff," where they
will both sit very still and growl at each other until finally one of
them will lunge for the toy. As far as gear, we have to shop for her
at the ferret store and she wears mostly ferret clothing, except for a
couple of sweaters we have made for her out of children's socks! She
loves taking baths and swimming in the lake.
