Hi!
My name is Scarlett, but everyone calls me "Baby Scarlett". I really
am the most special dog ever!! Here's why - Before I came to my home, my
family had another Irish Setter. His name was Rusty and he died of
osteosarcoma. My mom and dad were terribly sad for a really long time.
So for Father's Day in 1995 my mom decided that my dad needed a puppy of
his own. But she didn't say anything to dad, because he would have said
NO,(he does things like that sometimes). Anyway, mom picked me out and
brought me to dad at his office - what a plan!! He couldn't fuss about
it with all the people in his office right there! It was love at first
sight! Mom says my feet never touched the ground for the first 6 months
of my life because my dad was always holding me. Anyway, I love my dad
more than anything in the world. I make him smile and laugh. He thinks I
am the most beautiful girl! I didn't do too well in obedience class, but
I got the main idea and have perfected it. I like to do what my dad (or
mom) ask me to do. In return, they let me sleep in their bed with my
head on the pillow. My dad (who else!) took this picture of me and my
favorite stuffed toy, [I just love stuffed toys, you know] a few nights
ago. I was really sleepy and had been waiting for them to turn our bed
back. In the morning I give them the tiniest kisses to wake them up. I
don't tear up things, or make messes, or forget to let them know when I
want to go outside - I'm just about perfect! I think making my family
happy is the best job in the whole world.
