Rocket
Sauce, at seven months, is still a wild young'un... but very sweet.
He seems to think he is a cat, since he climbs all over the couch and
prefers to lounge up on the back of the sofa. He gets lots to study
since he has five cats sharing his house. He is very funny and smiles at us
all the time. He is working on his tricks repertoire, but he can do a
mean "spin spin spin"! (Spinning in circles for treats.) He also loves
to swim and pounce in the water.
He got his name from his 'pop' who insisted upon it. It was from a
"Tenacious D" song of that name. He got to name the dog, I got to pick
the breed. So I guess that is fair. Mr. Sauce is very much still a puppy...
very wild and lots of energy! He is so smart and will figure out any
problem you give him, although he still loves to use me as a chew toy!
That is the puppy in him I guess!
Rocket loves chew toys that squeak. He has not disemboweled a stuffed
toy yet (as I see many dogs who love to do that) so I guess that means
Rocket is a peaceful and loving dog! (Ha ha!) He is bred to herd cows
and sheep, and since we have neither at our house, he loves to herd us
humans and cats (by nipping at our heels as we walk). He loves to swim.
We recently got him a baby pool to play in which was not a good idea in
retrospect - muddy paw prints everywhere - but he sure loves water. His
favorite game is "bobbing for hotdogs." Rocket Sauce is turning out to
be a great dog and we love him very much! He is the best!
