I
would like to introduce my five-month-old pitbull/boxer mix Maximus.
Lately work has been a bear, but when I come home, he meets me at the
door, raises his upper lip and gives me a smile that makes me laugh so
hard. He has proven to me that dog is indeed a man's best friend. He
has a very outgoing personality. He is very sociable and likes to stop
and meet anybody who crosses his path, although my cats Prince and
Dutchess do not know what to make of him yet.
Maximus is able to sit, stand, lie down, and give shakes on command
(although sometimes that requires a cookie) and loves to play fetch and
tug of war with his rope bone. At the end of the day his favorite thing
to do is curl up next to me or my wife Sue on the couch and go to sleep
snoring the night away. He totally breaks the common stereotype people
have on these types of dogs. A mean dog is not born, it is raised that way.
