This
is my dog, Trey! Trey is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever.
The color of her coat is wonderful, and when the
sun shines on it some parts look magenta or even purple. I call the
color "mahogany." Trey found me one day in the woods. I was with several
guys and suddenly I felt something brush my leg. I jumped, thinking it
might be a snake. When I looked down, it was a Chocolate Lab puppy
standing there looking up at me. I guess she knew which one of us was a
"soft touch for dogs" because she didn't even look at the other men. I
figured she was lost, so I searched for her owner and put up notices
everywhere, but no one ever came to claim her, so she became my girl.
Trey is so loving and faithful, follows me around everywhere, rides in
our big brown truck, and sleeps with me too. I am retired and live on a
little farm, where I stay really active mowing my huge lawn and tending
to the flowers, feeding all the birds, and also feeding the catfish in
the pond. Trey is with me each step of the way; what a true friend she
is! I talk to her all the time, and she cocks her head and looks at me,
and I know she understands every word. She is very protective, and I
feel safe with her by my side. Her unconditional love means the world to
me. I am so glad she found me that fateful day!
