Pitty-Pat
is a great ambassador for retired racing greyhounds. She was
born at a racetrack in Florida but now lives (mostly on a couch) in
Berkeley California. Pitty-Pat started racing professionally in August
of 1997 and, after only four races, ended her professional career with
her best showing a dismal fourth place. We lucked out! Her owner no
longer needed her and she was free to be adopted as a pet!
Pitty came to live with us in California nearly five years ago. Of course
she charms us daily but also charms everyone in the neighborhood. She
knows what stores routinely save treats for her: she uses her big dark
eyes to flirt with the best!
Pitty loves to test products for her friends who own a dog wash and
supply store: she frequently rejects toys with squeakers that are too
scary. She still loves to run very fast in big circles but she tires
quickly and returns to nap on her couch.
