Vodka
passed away on October 5 due to an epileptic attack. It was so
painful to witness the seizures and she died on our way to the
veterinarian. She was so young.
We found her wandering off the streets when she was about four months. We
posted signs and called the pound but nobody claimed her, so we decided
to keep her.
She was very intelligent and affectionate. She loved to chase our two
cats and eat their food (no need to say they did not appreciate it). One
thing she did not like though was the sound of the chime. Once, we were
watching a movie and one of the characters ringed the doorbell and she
thought there was somebody at the door so she started barking. We
forwarded the scene and played it again and she would always bark,
thinking it was our door.
Although she was a little destructive at times, we loved her very much.
Now that she is gone, every little thing she did seems so special and
the house looks so empty without her. Sometimes it is too late for us to
realize how much we love them until they are gone (sometimes we cannot
even say good bye), so we should love and enjoy them every day as much
as we can.
Vodka, our precious, we love you. You will always be in our hearts.
