This
is my best girlfriend, Rodeo Princess. She just turned a year old
in September. She is a smooth-coated Border Collie. I rescued her from
the Humane Society when she was four months old after someone had brought
her back because "their kids didn't like her."
Rodeo's favorite things to do are swim, chase the ball, go for long
walks, be cuddled upside down, sleep, eat and enjoy life. She loves
kids and all animals. She was plain wild when I got her, but this breed
is sooo smart, I knew it just was a matter of spending lots of time with
her and training her and sure enough, within 24 hours of some attention,
I saw results. She is a great dog.
Every September, we go to "Dogapalooza," a charity event benefitting the
Humane Society. We are going to be selling homemade all-natural dog
treats (all proceeds to benefit the Humane Society) Rodeo is going as
an ambassador to show potential adoptive parents what they can get from
a rescue dog. Last year, during this event, over 3000 dogs and cats
found good homes as a result. We're hoping for at least that this year.
Everyone should have a dog like my Rodeo princess!
