Buzzard
Jay here ... I was born on January 17, 2003. Mama and Papa found
me for sale in the back of a pick up truck when I was seven weeks old.
It was really hot that day. I was miserable and sleeping soundly when
all of a sudden this lady picked me up and held me close. She cried a
lot. (I later learned that she had lost another faithful boy four months
prior). I was apprehensive but really thankful when she put me on her
lap in the cab of the pickup with the air conditioning on, she kissed me
time and time again with a little groan each time.
I am the most loving little boy anyone could ever wish for. I love rides
and I love water!! Water is good! I love toys! I am a Black Labrador.
We have a great big back yard which I love. I get lots of exercise in
it. We have a lot of stray cats searching for my birds; I do not
welcome them. I have a kiddie pool which makes me groan while it is
being filled. I love it!
I had an older sister, Cherry Lu, who loved the back yard as I do, but I
guess she has gone on now. I miss her and I grab her collar in my mouth
and run with happiness. It makes Mama cry. I know where my big sissa is
buried and I visit her daily. She was a good big sissa. She taught me
a lot.
Buzzie is our little baby boy at 77 pounds. He is the most loving,
kissy, happy boy. His tail is always wagging. He has to have a toy in
his mouth to greet us along with the groan his Mama instilled in him on
the ride home at seven weeks old. He loves his pack most of all and
secondly his water. He is a retriever and he really tries. Buzzard
would rather play keep away ... no problem with me, but his Papa is a
hunter. Buzz is still young, still a pup, he will get the hunting down.
The little Buzz Jay ... our little wonder.
