This
is my son Max's dog. His name is Polaris. He is a Siberian Husky,
and we got him from the SPCA. What a deal! We live in St Petersburg,
Florida, and since there is no snow here, my son lets the dog pull him
around the neighborhood on his bike.
Polaris is a beautiful dog. I even love him, and I don't generally like
dogs. He makes a lot of funny noises... they sort of sound like
growling, but it's more of a gurgling noise. Apparently, this is what
Huskies do... they really don't bark. He loves to go for a walk with me,
but he's not very well trained - yet. He likes to be out in front
pulling me along. I guess it's the natural instinct of a sled dog to
pull. As you can see from the photo, he's learning to like the water, too!
