This
is my girl Peanut. She is a beautiful chocolate mini Dachshund who
is extremely lovable. She was only three pounds, eyes and ears too big for
her head and actually kind of funny looking when I bought her. But I
fell in love with her the minute I held her. Needless to say, I was
back at the pet store that night buying her. As you can see, she grew
into her features and is the most loveable dog I have ever owned.
Everyone calls her the "licking puppy" because she is just so
affectionate. She had just been home for two days after having surgery
to remove a benign lump from her chest when this picture was taken.
I bought Peanut a friend about three years ago. Her name is Bailee.
Bailee is also a mini Dachshund, but red in coloring. It only took
Peanut about a day to get used to having another pet in the house.
She is actually more like a mother to Bailee. Watching the two of them
together is so much fun. They are both have such different
personalities, but are both wonderful pets. My neighbors have told me
that they didn't even know I had a pet until I got Bailee. Peanut
became much more vocal once Bailee came home to stay. It is never dull
with "the Girls" (as everyone likes to call them) around. They just
brighten up your life.
