This
is our Kobe. He is a rescue from a high-kill shelter in South
Carolina. Kobe was adopted out of rescue right away, but came back eight
weeks later with separation anxiety problems and horrific skin
conditions from the Florida climate where he had been.
In the duration of Kobe's foster time with us and getting nursed back to
health, he wormed his way into our family's home and hearts and we
flunked fostering for the first time ever. This one is staying with us!
We love his quirks and his goofy personality.
He is absolutely nutty about squirrels and will try to climb a tree to
get at one. He can do some awesome vertical jumps! He could also win a
contest for fastest time digging a hole to China. He can really
excavate. Thank goodness we have a lot of natural areas and woods around
our home.
Kobe loves to carry an old sweatshirt around that belonged to
my oldest son. The first time Kobe was in foster here, he kept finding
it when my son left it laying around. The second time Kobe came in, my
son just gave it to him, and it is now Kobe's security blanket. He
carries it all around the house, and just keeps it tucked in his mouth
when napping. He is our silly, sweet, goofy, lovable forever Kobe! We
think he deserves to be honored. He has been through a lot, but
just keeps on lovin'!
