This
is my Vizsla Radley. When I knew I was getting him, I wanted to
find a name that suited his characteristics. I went to a baby name book
and hid the names so I couldn't see them and found the definition "Red
Meadows". At the time, my last name was Meadows and he is red. The name
was Radley and it was perfect.
Radley is the most hilarious and interesting dog I have ever met. I tell
him all the time that he is my "first true love" and I mean it. He is so
very special to me and he makes my husband and I laugh continuously
although he is a handful at times. He's very energetic and somewhat
stubborn, but my husband always says to him "you are good mostly." He
really has such personality and has so many quirky little behaviors.
His favorite thing to do is eat, but he also loves to go for walks and
torture his little sister Scout, who is also a Vizsla. She really rules
the roost and anytime he has a toy that she wants, she can just take it
right away from him although she was the runt and is fifteen pounds smaller. My
husband tells him he's being a sissy, but I always say it's because he's
trying to be a gentleman. He really thinks he's a person and he is
always getting up in the dining room chairs to sit at the table if you
are sitting at the table for any reason. He also likes to try to get in
the chair with you and has to be right on top of me if I am on the
couch. My best friend calls him a 60 pound infant.
He is so photogenic and anytime I get the camera out he poses like a dog
model. Not his sister Scout though, she hates to have her picture taken
and always has the most awful frown on her face, so I thought it best to
let you see Radley at his best.
I love my Radley like I never thought I would love an animal. He is my
"doggy soul mate" and I worship the ground he walks on. It's a good
thing my husband is around or he'd be hard to tolerate because he
certainly does not listen to me, only his dad.
