This
is Jed. He is a two year old Bloodhound/Plott Hound whom we rescued
from the Humane Society in Florida. He originally came from Blue Ridge,
GA and was one of approximately 22 other animals that had been
mistreated. The shelter was closing and Jed along with the other pets
was going to be euthanized when they got rescued instead.
He is such a sweet docile guy, who loves attention. He loves to chase
cats, as we found during one of our nightly walks around the
neighborhood, at 1:30 in the morning. His bark or howl is so infectious
that our other two dogs and the neighbors dogs, all feel the need to chime
in. He also loves water, as we found out when he fell in our swimming
pool. After which he felt it was necessary to air dry himself while
running through the house. He seems to enjoy being chased after.
Greeting people and announcing his arrival is important to him since he
feels the need to howl at every opportune moment. He talks up a storm
especially when he knows he's going somewhere.
