This
is my dog BlackJack. She (yes, she is a girl - the name confuses
some people) is a year old, and a Lab mix. She is special because she is
the world's friendliest dog. She is beautiful, and she always behaves
like such a lady. She hails from Berwyn, Illinois.
BlackJack knows how to sit, stay, shake, lay down and play dead (the
basics). She is also very patient and loves children. She plays a game
with my two-year-old, Adam, where he takes her bone away, hides it, and
BlackJack has to find it. She is very protective of Adam and she will
herd him away from the street and from cars pulling in to the driveway.
She likes to dig with him in the sandbox too, wrestles with him, and
sleeps in his bedroom doorway at night. She is very affectionate and she
rubs on your ankles like a cat so you'll pet her. She also lays at your
feet and rolls onto her back and expects you to scratch her belly.
Everyone on my block knows that she is a sweetie, and they all want to
pet her if we are outside.
