Lakota
is very handsome red and white bi-eyed male Siberian Husky. He
was found as a stray and brought to the New York City pound. After being
at Husky House NYC for fourteen months Lakota found his own loving home with
us and our female Siberian Husky Misha. As our other Siberian Husky, and
Misha's life-long companion, had passed away we knew Misha was really
missing her buddy so we decided to adopt an older husky. For Misha and
Lakota it was love at first sight! To see these two romping around, well
we knew right away they would be best buds. Lakota gets along with
everyone, is sweet and comical, loves to give kisses, and is low key and
relatively "calm" for a Sibe. His big trick is to spin in circles when
it's time to eat. He greets everyone, especially children, with big
happy howls, going "woo-woo-woo" with lot's of tail wags. He also loves
to go in the water, sticking his whole face and head under the water
where he will then flip up his head sending water everywhere! Everyone
who has come in contact with Lakota has fallen in love with this sweet,
lovable guy. Being a shelter "graduate", Lakota holds a special place in
all of our hearts.
