This
is my pet dog, his name is Jake. We adopted him from a shelter and
they didn't know how old he is, they said he was approximately two.
Jake is so special for many reasons, first we used to have another dog,
Mulligain, She was a Lab mix. Mulligain was much older, and Jake kept
her young, they were best friends. Jake added the last couple years on
her life, they would race around the house. Mulligain loved playing with
Jake. When we go on vacation we used to kennel Mulligain all by herself
but then when Jake came along, we would kennel them together and she
would be much happier having a friend with her. Before that, she would
have great difficulties, and she would get stomach problems when she was
away. But with Jake, she was happy.
Last summer, Mulligain died, it was a sad time for all of us, even Jake
moped around for a while. Yet even then Jake brought smiles to all our
faces, always greeting us at the door. He always aims to please us and
he loves to cuddle. Now that I am off at college, Jake comes to all our
track and cross country meets at which he's allowed, he is our little
mascot (even though we are the Pioneers). It's not always the best
weather for the little guy but he loves just to be there.
