This
is Thomas, a Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix. He is very smart,
lovable, and loyal. I got him from a woman who rescues dogs from kill
shelters. He was scheduled to die the day she saved him! I met him
when he was five months old. He jumped in my car right away, and I fell
in love with him! He can sit, shake (both paws), lay down, roll over,
find his bone, and many other amazing tricks. I also have a hamster
that he loves! When I say, "Where's the hamster?" He runs upstairs to
look in its cage.
Thomas is so friendly, but if he senses danger, he knows when to bark.
He keeps me safe and happy! He makes me laugh a lot too!
Whenever I tell him I'm going to take his picture, he sits, smiles, and
waits. Sometimes I think he's a human because of all the things he
understands. Outside, he chases cats and bunnies, but never can catch
them. One time, a cat actually turned around and stared at him. Thomas
didn't know what to do! The cat scratched him on the nose, and he
turned around and walked home with his head down. I think he felt
defeated. He sleeps under the bed every night, and doesn't wake up
until I get out of bed. I love Thomas with all my heart. I don't know
what I would do without this amazing companion!
