Marley
will turn four years old on Christmas Day 2007! Marley has such a
great sense of humor. She is our own personal in-house comedy show. She
has made our world a brighter place and has brought our family through
some of life's most difficult challenges.
Marley is very affectionate, loves to snuggle and always wants to be near
us. She is definitely a lap dog. If we are sitting or lying down anywhere
in the house, there's no doubt that she will be snuggled right up against
us. She always has to be in the same room with us - if I go to work on
laundry, she follows me. If my husband goes outside to water plants, she
goes with him. Besides being near us, her world pretty much revolves
around food. We have to be careful what and how much we feed her, because
it's easy for her to put on too many pounds. She loves baby carrots and
wheat thins as daily treats, and her biggest reward is peanut butter
right after she gets a toenail clip.
Marley is very social and friendly with everyone she meets. She
enthusiastically greets everyone who comes to the house, loves to play
with other dogs (especially other pugs), and seems to have a preference
for children if given the choice between kids and adults. Marley loves
to watch TV with us, and she especially loves commercials. Anytime
there's an animal on TV, particularly dogs or horses, she races over to
the TV, jumps up, and tries to reach the animals on the screen. She is
also very observant of the house. If a piece of furniture is moved, or
if she notices something new for the first time, she tentatively
approaches it and barks crazily for awhile. During her outside
playtime, she loves to chase butterflies and enjoys snapping at bubbles
that we blow for her. Indoors, she has a blast chasing the light
beaming from the flashlight.
