This
is Thomas, a (mostly) Chihuahua, though we think there is some rat
terrier in the mix. We have had Thomas since he was six weeks old and he
is certainly an important part of the family. He has a really great
personality and makes friends everywhere that he goes. Because he is
such a sweet boy, we have taken him on lots of trips both in a car and
on an airplane. Thomas has been to Newfoundland (Canada), North
Carolina, Florida, and California and the list is still growing. He
really likes to travel, since he gets a chance to check out (i.e.,
smell) all the new places that he visits.
Thomas is a very smart little guy who is completely committed to
everything that he does. Whether he is sleeping, playing, running,
hiking, or smelling the flowers in the yard - Thomas gives whatever
activity he is doing 100% of his attention. Recently, since we moved to
Newfoundland, he has taken up hiking. He prefers to go on more deserted
trails since he can be off leash there, but he doesn't want us to get
too far away from him. He likes to be able to see us at all times on
the hikes. Even though Thomas loves the outdoors, you can most often
find him sunning himself on his dog bed in front of the windows in the
living room. This spot is also a good vantage point to watch
everything going on outside, and he is always looking out the window at
us when we get home from work ready to greet us with a big lick on the
face.
