We
got Dexter when he was fourteen weeks old, and we're madly in love with
him! This photo was taken in Houston on March 22, 2007...just six days
before his 2nd birthday. His in-cabin flight to Houston from NYC was
his first, and although he was a bit nervous (panting all the way) in
his carrier, he didn't make a sound. I think it was well worth the trip
to him though just to be with his humans and to meet new people that he
could jump on and lick.
Everyone who meets Dexter (and likes dogs) falls in love with him too
because he's so cute and friendly...there's not a vicious bone in his
body. He loves to eat treats (including human food), play tug-o-war,
fetch, lay in the sun, play with other dogs, and cuddle up to his humans
like a little sausage. Quite simply, he enjoys life. He doesn't bark
much either thank goodness unless he sees or hears a dog on t.v. and
then he goes a little crazy. We're not quite sure if it's because he's
protecting his territory or if he thinks they're going to jump out of
the t.v. and play with him because he sometimes will run to pick up a
squeaky toy and then drop it in front of the t.v. He has the
typical "class clown" personality of a Jack Russell, and he keeps us
exercised and laughing...constantly! He's the best dog in the world!
