Harley
has always been a special dog, he went through a couple of levels
of obedience and even got the "blue ribbon" in his first level. Harley
also has his "Good Canine Citizenship". Harley is a very sensitive boy who
loves all people. When he was just a year old we ran into some people at a
local park who were involved in Pet Therapy. After hearing what it
involved I decided this was the perfect job for Harley. Harley tested and
passed with flying colors and started do "therapy" immediately. We done
visits in hospitals, nursing homes and with special needs children. Harley
has a special love for his elderly women so we've spent most of the last nine
years visiting nursing homes. Harley is ten now and really slowing down, he
is semi-retired and doing just one or two visits a month. I think Harley
is the most handsome dog ever and I'm sure I could find lots of the
residents of homes we visit who would agree with me. For fun Harley likes
to wrestle with his younger brother Quinn, who is a one-year-old Doberman,
and he likes to chase squirrels. Harley is a one in a million dog whom is
loved my many, but especially his Mommy.
