I
got Mickey from a wonderful place called Old Dog Haven which finds homes
for older dogs. Her previous owner was moving to Hawaii and couldn't take
her with him. On the day they called Old Dog Haven, I also called - and
it was a match made in heaven. I visited twice and on that second visit
she came home with me.
I've had her two years now and each year her previous owner comes out to
see her, which is terrific. I'm glad that he can still see her and can
also see that she is in a loving, forever home. I can't imagine not having
her in my life and take her with me everywhere. She shares her home with
two feline housemates, Charlie and Missy and all do well together with the
occasional swat from my Charlie as he gets trampled in Mickey's path.
Mickey has a wonderful smile and is as frisky as a much younger dog.
Since she has the brown patch on the right side of her face, those
eyelashes are brown and the other side is white which I think is
wonderful. She is my girl, my wonderful companion and I am very glad she
came into my life.
