Hello,
my name is Webster. I was brought to a shelter because I got "too
big." My Mom started walking me at the shelter every week and we became
fast friends. Before I knew it, I had a new home with her and my two
"brothers". I like living in a house with three dogs. There's always
someone to play with. I am your basic lap dog and all around couch
potato. I like nothing better than to sit with my back to my Mom and
then flop backwards onto her lap. She will hold me like a baby and
scratch my chest which makes me very happy (although I have heard her
complain that 70 pounds is a little much for a lap dog). I think it's
just right, as I don't leave an inch of lap unused.
I love to eat and to lap nap. I know a lot of food related words. I know
"hungry," "snack," "dinner," "delicious," "biscuit," "treat," and
"cheeseburger". I will come running when I hear any one of these words,
although I think it frustrates my Mom that I won't come when my own name
is called. I like to have only the freshest water when I drink, so I
only drink out of the bathtub faucet (Mom is regretting the day she
thought it would be cute to show me that little trick) and I will stand
for a very long time in the bathroom waiting for Mom to turn on the
faucet. Sometimes it takes her a while to notice me, but if she takes
too long, I'll give her a little bark to let her know I'm waiting.
I am very snugly and my Mom doesn't mind when I fall asleep in her lap.
I'm glad we found each other.
