Dora
(the backyard explorer) is a 2-1/2 year old Black Lab from
Tiverton, RI. Dora is the most lovable, affectionate Lab we've ever had
and is an absolute joy to have as a pet! Each time we arrive home she
runs to her toy box and brings us one of her toys as if she wants to
play, grunting and squeaking like she's talking to us! She loves to
ride in the car and chew on rocks. She dunks her head under water to
retrieve rocks and brings them back to shore for safekeeping. When it's
dinner time, she comes to find one of us as a reminder that she's
hungry. She's very smart so it has been easy to teach her different
commands. Our grandchildren adore her and, even though she weighs over
95 pounds, she is very gentle with them. The down side to her large size
is that she thinks she's a toy poodle and should be allowed to sleep in
our lap!
