Four
years ago we rescued Booda from a local shelter. At ten weeks old,
he was timid but playful. We named him after his first toy - a squeaky
cow he loved so much!! Our need of a dog has been fulfilled in so many
ways. Booda has completely stolen my heart and overwhelmed me with his
unconditional love! One look in his amber eyes and you can tell he is an
old soul. He is happy to accompany us anywhere in the car and truly
loves chasing the waves at the beach. His typical day is spent
protecting the house, this is where he takes great pride in his job. You
know - from the squirrels, birds or leaves that fall near it!!
When the nicer weather comes again in the spring, the local Blue Heron
will be visiting the fish from the koi pond... Booda's cries and whines
a deep, long bark every time the bird is in our yard. We instantly know
the "bird" is back and can scare him away (if Booda's cries don't!). He
does such a good job saving the koi from their death! We are so blessed
to have him in our lives! He makes each day a new exciting journey! He
is by far my Dog of the Day and I wanted to share him with everyone!
