Wylie
is our heart dog. We got him from the Humane Society of Baltimore
County so he is a rescue pup. We got him at ten months and oh my he made
an impression on the whole family. My mom thought we had a defective
dog 'cause Wylie had no tail. But when his butt wiggles she knows he is
happy! He loves to have his ears scratched and tummy rubbed. He is a
true herding dog with a big stomach because he is always trying to herd us
into the kitchen to his treat jar. The vet says he could be a
linebacker for the Ravens - he is solid muscle. He loves to cuddle with
me and my mom and rough house with my husband. His best friends are
Bagel a Newfie mix, and Hannah a mix. He has a cousin Reggie
who is a terrier mix and a cousin Smoke a cat (but Wylie doesn't hold it
against him) they both came from the shelter. Wylie loves to have fun
chewing on his toys and watching animal planet TV.
Recently he developed DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) so we got him his own
set of wheels. The response from people when we take him outside is
wonderful. He is a shining example of the breed. People are so
surprised at how sweet he is, he can really work a crowd. He loves kids
too. Our hearts are totally wrapped around his lil paws and he knows it.
He has all of us trained for what he wants to get. He sleeps in our
queen size bed and hogs the whole thing.
Grandma is the treat queen. Mom (me) is the cuddle queen. Dad is the
wrestling tackle dummy. Grandpa is the best of all - he talks to Wylie and
when they go for walks and it is raining, Grandpa holds the umbrella over
Wylie instead of himself. Uncle Mandell is the official dog walker no
matter what he says. Our corgi is so spoiled his lifestyle is equal to
the Queen of England's corgi's.
He makes our lives complete.
