This
is my sweet Lady girl. She was a gift from my aunt who knew I
wanted a therapy dog for my autistic son. Unfortunately Lady's
temperament was not suited to such a job. During times such as the 4th of
July or heavy wind storms she will hide out in the garage and keep an
old rag in her mouth as a "pacifier." But despite such fearful
tendencies, she has proven to be a wonderful family pet. Her name fits
her perfectly as she's got such a lady-like personality. Whenever she
eats, she nibbles one morsel at a time. She often crosses her two front
paws when she is in the lying position.
Lady also loves her squeaker toys and for all the balls she's had over
the years, not one has been chewed to pieces - not even the cheap
plastic ones! While new and unusual sights and sounds are very stressful
to her, I am amazed at her level of intelligence and how quickly she can
learn new commands. She has a very strong desire to please. We all adore
her and cannot imagine life without her!
