Some
people told me it was a bad idea to get Sadie so soon after losing
our other dog, Bonnie. I personally think it was the best decision we
ever made. Sadie was an 'oopsie' puppy, the result of a friend's dog
getting loose and coming home pregnant. She was one of nine puppies to
be born, and one of five females. Sadie picked us more then we picked
her. The second she climbed into my lap and promptly fell asleep, I knew
she was the one.
Now, Sadie is my everything companion. I love her so much. She will do
anything for me, whether it's playing nice with my guinea pig or playing
dead. I've found that she really loves to jump over things. She's become
a horse of sorts for me. I'll set up 'courses' (really just a few
homemade jumps) and guide her through them. I don't know what I would do
without Sadie, she just completes my life.
