About Us
Hemi, the Dog of the Day
Name: Hemi
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female Breed: Harlequin Great Dane
Home: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Hemi is a rescue from "Danes in Distress," a Great Dane rescue group. The first week we had her we made the mistake of leaving our TV remote on the coffee table. She ate it. She also loves eating shoes, phones, hats and calculators. That was relatively early since we've had her so she hasn't eaten a lot (other than dog food, and treats of course) since then.

Hemi loves running at the park and eating acorns when we go for walks. Some people call her spoiled because she has her own couch (she's just that big). Her tail can clear a coffee table in one wag. She also has her favorite chair, it's not hers, but if you sit in it expect to be sat on. It's happened. Hemi is also known as the world's biggest lap dog. She loves kids and is quite calm for her age. We love her!
