This
is Utley. He's named after the Philadelphia Phillies (and World Series
Champions 2008) second baseman Chase Utley. At six months old, he weighs in at a
healthy 58 pounds. It's hard to believe he was eight pounds when we brought him
home in August! Utley's favorite activities are going for long walks in the
park with his Dad, chewing on one of his many bones and laying by the
fireplace.
He shares his home with three feline siblings and they are learning to
tolerate the big yellow dog that likes to trot after them and lick their face,
if he can get close enough. If only the cats had claws for one day, I'm sure
he'd leave them alone after that. It's rather amusing to see the ten-pound cat
charging after and backing up the dog when he gets too close for her liking.
Utley makes us smile every day, even when he's naughty. He probably thinks his
name is Utley No or Utley Leave It!
