Jasper
lives up to his breed's reputation. He is a
huge dog in a little dog's body. It's hard to believe that something so cute
could be so fierce. He never backs down, no matter the size of the other dog.
He recently won three costume contests dressed as a Frog Prince. The clincher was
getting him to "bow" for the judges. On the other hand, Jasper is almost
cat-like in his display of independence. We play ball when, and for as long
as, he decides. He sleeps at the foot of the bed, and will wait patiently
until you're ready to get up. Since few people get to see Pekes in their home
environment, it's hard for most to believe what sweet dogs Pekingese really are.
