Hi,
my name is Finnley (Finn for short), I am a rescue dog from Tennessee
and my I am studying to be a Service dog. My owner says I am the most
special thing in all the world. We work in a pet shelter and my job is to
keep all the little kittens happy and unafraid of their new surroundings.
Everyone tells me how beautiful I am and wants to know what breed I am...
all I know is I feel special to be so loved and I have a best friend who
was also rescued from Tennessee and we do everything together. When we go
to the dog park we're the fastest dogs in the park. We run, and run and
run, but we always come when called.
I am pretty shy at first, the city has taught me to be cautious with
strangers, but once I meet you, I am your friend forever. I am very loyal
and always do my very best to make my friends feel special. I love being
cuddled and having my soft coat rubbed; if you stop I will take my paw and
pull your hand back. I am a very big fan of fetch and keep away. I think
the frisbee is my favorite toy right now, but anything you may want to
toss works for me! I love being outside and having the air in my nostrils,
but I like to be inside so I may snuggle on the sofa with my mom. I have
all kind of friends at the shelter, and love my work, mostly I try to help
in any way I am able and help the new dogs feel safe in their temporary
home. I know how it feels to wait for a new forever home, so I try to tell
everyone how great it is going to be when they finally decide who to
choose as their new owner. I feel pretty lucky and wake up every day to a
whole new adventure!
