This
is a photograph of our Cocker Spaniel, Doak. Doak is named in honor of
Heisman trophy winning running back Doak Walker of SMU. In his day, Doak
Walker was the blonde-haired coverboy of magazines across the country. Given
his blonde coat, our Doak seemed to fit the bill. He is also very athletic
and loves to run around the house and the yard. Doak is very attached to his
family including our Himalayan cat. When other dogs are over for visits, Doak
gets along fine until they threaten the cat. Then he steps in between to play
the role of peacemaker. He loves to curl up with us to watch television until
he spots another dog on the screen. Then he races to the television to bark
his disapproval of an unwelcomed intruder in his territory.
