In
December 2004, I was still grieving for six months over my last dog. I
didn't think I was ready for another dog. I went to the Hawaiian Humane
Society to drop off my annual donation for Christmas. I saw a little white and
black dog cowering in the back of the kennel. She was heartworm positive, very
skinny and looked so sad. They weren't sure of her breed or her age.
Zoe came home with me and we've never looked back. The emptiness and sadness
I felt went away immediately. I had another dog to care for and she loved me
back just as much. She rapidly recovered and gained weight, and became the beauty
you now see. All I can tell of her breed is she must be part Papillon.
Looking back, I didn't realize how sad I was. God sends angels in different
forms. I believe Zoe is my angel in canine form.
