We
live in the country, and Dobby is very good at barking at the distant
howling coyotes, letting them know that she is on guard and to not get
any closer! Dobby is named after the Harry Potter creature, mainly for
the stand up ears. She is very good with our four-year-old son, very gentle
and politely steps around him. She doesn't swim in our pit we have, but
she will be on the bank waiting for us to return to her when we are on
the paddle boat we own.
Dobby is very smart. She knows how to sit, shake hands, and how to catch
a piece of hotdog in midair! We are very grateful that Dobby has bonded
so well with our family, she is part of our lives, because you can tell
we are included as her "pack".
Dobby knows how to shake hands. She is very loyal, and is polite, what I
mean is she never gets boisterous and knocks into people. She is calm
and is friendly to the cats and horses. She is a bit food protective
with the dogs. She can catch hot dogs in the air. When Kansas had a
snowstorm, she had a good time running fast through the snow drifts. She
is an athletic dog, and was able to climb on top of the round bales,
when my nephew and niece were climbing on top, the bales are maybe five
foot tall.
