This
is my baby Blaze. I got her from Latvia when she was four months old. She
did well on the trip from Latvia to Saudi Arabia she wasn't even jet lagged.
She's a very smart girl. The second day I got her she could sit and lay down,
and now I've got her playing dead, shaking, bowing, spinning, begging and doing
a bit of agility. She loves to hang out with her brother, a three-year-old
American Bulldog, Zeus and well she gets along most of the time with my other
female, a Chow Chow named Ka. Everyone who meets her loves her at first sight.
She's super friendly and very gentle, she doesn't jump up on people when she
meets them. All she does is use her paw to get attention. She's even good with
other animals as you can see in one of her pictures - she was meeting a camel
for the first time. She's a big girl for her age - most people think she's over
a year old while she's only nine months old in these pictures.
She does surprisingly well in the heat, I was worried about it but she's coping
pretty well. My dogs have a huge kennel built just for them with heat proof
walls and an AC colder than my own. So during the day it's on, plus she spends
most of her time indoors so no worries about that! Her coat is actually coming
in thicker since it's almost winter here, and she's starting to look even
prettier!
She's such a sweet girl and I love spending one-on-one time with her, teaching
new tricks and more agility. She does great! She's super smart, but like most
malamutes she gets bored easily and is stubborn. She will be a year old next
month and she's still growing! She's as big as Zeus now, and it looks like she's
gonna outgrow him.
At agility she and a Rottweiler are the two biggest dogs, the rest are Huskies,
Chows, Labradors and a cute little Maltese. And now she's starting to be very
vocal and protests when she doesn't like something in a weird but cute howl. She
also gets jealous of my other female if I give Ka more attention. She's just a
big ball of love and she follows Zeus wherever he goes. He always acts like a
father to any new pup that comes into the family and forms strong bonds with them.
I've always wanted an Alaskan Malamute ever since I was a kid, and my dream came
true five months ago when I got this girl. She's a perfect example of her breed. I
love her to bits and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
I love my Blaze. :)
