Rusty, the Dog of the Day
Name: Rusty
Age: Four years old
Gender: Male Breed: Welsh Terrier
Home: British Colombia, Canada

I rescued Rusty from a shelter. He is a very vigorous male of four years old and he is a Welsh Terrier. We offered him a new and exciting life: we love him very much. He has a new home and a new dog-friend in our dog Chipie. He can enjoy the little swimming pool, and long walks on the beach and in the forest. He learned to retrieve the ball from Chipie (my first Welsh Terrier). He enjoys playing with children. He is always running to them.

At home, he is the master, after Chipie! He love to be cuddled. He loves kisses and he is learning to be a good boy, he will wait and sit before his meal. He is a gentleman, he doesn't bark when somebody rings the doorbell. He lets the people enter and stays quiet.

In the garden, Rusty becomes a real hunter. He loves chasing the squirrels and cats. He loves to dig holes around the garden, too. One day he is going to bring me a rat, he is sure!

Last June, Rusty and Chipie joined a big group of Welsh Terriers. The 25 dogs went for a long walk together. Every week we go with some friends for a nice walk in different areas around our city.

We really enjoy Rusty's company, he is a very big daddy who loves cuddling. Rusty and Chipie are a good pair and we all like our walk together every morning before the sun gets too hot.

Hi! I am a Welsh Terrier and my name is Rusty. My new family adopted me in April. I am very happy to be part of it and I share my new life with a female Welsh Terrier, Chipie. I am so glad we can use a large garden and Chipie and I run around and around together until we are dead tired. Then we can lie on the sofa after a wonderful meal. I enjoy playing with my new toys on the beach. I am also very happy to go and walk in the forest around the lake with Chipie. At the beginning of my new life, I was timid around people. Now, I enjoy the company of my new family. What I love the most is to be caressed on my back and around my neck. I follow my new mommy everywhere. I am a very happy dog, now!

Do you love my new haircut? I think it is so cool!

I am so pleased to share my new life with you. I would like to say thank you to my new family and to you.
