Xena
was found at the Super Shopper. She was bred King Shepherd X American
Shepherd, which makes her a large dog. At six months, she's the size of our
old dog, Terra (who was purebred German Shepherd.) Her original name was
Hailey, but we found that a bit too girlish for such a dog. We fell absolutely
in love with her. I'm thirteen, and my parents are well into the forties which
made her a fairly good dog to add to the family. Since loosing Terra, we had
been pining for another dog like her, and along came Xena.
Everyone who sees Xena says she's going to be huge - like we need to be
reminded! She's filled out a lot since we got her, and she's almost done that
hectic teething part! For the most part, we adore her. She's a bit of a
nuisance, but she's a wonderful family dog. Her disposition is good, and she
never runs out of energy! She reminds us a lot of Terra, and having her is an
absolute joy. Our family walks a lot, which makes for an active dog!
Personally, I love her. She's more than annoying at times, but she is still a
growing puppy, and I still wouldn't be able to let her go. I know it's going
to be a great experience to own Xena, and I can't wait to see what the future
may hold for her and our family together!
