Hi
there, this is Baxter Elijah Custer. He's 80 pounds and thinks he is a
lap dog!
We adopted Baxter on Valentine's Day a little less than a year ago from the
Albuquerque Pound. Baxter is the most lovable, sweet dog I have ever had.
He is definitely more like a St. Bernard than a Pittie when it comes to
temperament. A perfect example is that he loves to be a "helpful" St.
Bernard... in other words, sitting on our feet to keep them warm. His most
unique quality is that he loves to talk to us. We will ask him something,
and he will respond in his doggy "Chewbacca" voice; it's quite comical. My
most favorite thing about Baxter is that he is good with kids; we have many
nieces and nephews who visit, and when they are over, he follows them
around and gives them kisses. Lastly, Baxter is hilarious because he thinks
that he is a lap dog; he weighs over 70 pounds, but does not hesitate to come
sit in my lap when we are watching TV.
I love my baby!
