Piper
is a 45-pound lap dog, and there is no convincing her otherwise. She
spends her days trying to get her older sister Tess (shelter rescue) to play
with her, by annoying her with squeaky toys and playful taunting. She loves
finding warm sunny spots on the floor to take naps (and it is the only time
you will find her sleeping on the floor). She also looks forward to hikes in
the woods where she can run like the wind and chase birds to her heart's
content. At night she believes that she must sleep under the covers and as
close to her human as possible. But be warned, if you don't let her under the
covers she may whimper until you comply. However she makes up for it with her
amazing cuddling abilities and makes a great bed warmer on a cold winter night.
Vizslas have been described as being "stuck to their people like glue" while
also being "like wet cement if you try to move them from their warm napping
spot;" Piper definitely has these qualities plus her own unique personality
which make her one awesome dog!
