Introducing
Elizabeth Taylor "Lizzie" Edmundson. Lizzie is a Yorkshire
Terrier, who came to live with us, August 2011. She has a sister, Piper,
who is three years old and they both came from the same breeder. My
neighbor wanted a Yorkie, and wanted it to look like Piper. So, when
Piper's breeder had a litter, I took her to see the puppies. There were
two sisters, and at the time, Lizzie was not being sold. We left with Lily
and I had no intention of getting another. The little puppy that stayed
behind, remained on my mind and I thought Piper needed a playmate. Lizzie
became available and Piper went with me to get her.
Lizzie's first couple of weeks were full of accidents. My husband and I
were walking the girls, when Lizzie did a flip, and landed on her head.
That same night, she fell out of the bed. The next night, she and Piper
were in the Lazy Boy playing, Lizzie fell out and hit her head on the
computer chair bottom. A few days later, she got between the door jamb &
door when I closed it. Despite all of these accidents, she has survived
and is the most loving little girl. She and Piper are best friends. We are
so glad to have these two precious girls in our lives and happy that
Lizzie survived her first few weeks with us, despite herself!
Lizzie is a very affectionate dog and enjoys playing ball. She loves being
groomed and likes to dress up and have pretty bows in her hair. When she
went to Obedience School, the instructor was amazed at how she walked with
her head held high and her tail up. She asked if she came from show dogs.
She is a vital part of our family and loves playing with her sister,
Piper. We love her a lot!
